Hello. My name is Melissa Buwembo (she/her).

I am many things in this life but one things for sure: I love working with brands, partners, product managers, designers, entrepreneurs and individuals to craft amazing stories that brings out their unique value to the world.

Based out of Oakland CA, I create brand narratives that considers first the customer journey and develop on-going programs that generate awareness, retention, advocacy and builds community for brands like Microsoft, Gap, Oculus. I am also a certified voice actor 🎙️ where I get to tell amazing stories, tap into my performance self, and utilize my natural voice texture that is passionate, professional, and trustworthy.

I am the owner and lead baker of Simple Cakes🧁, an Oakland-based home kitchen that offers delicious cupcakes with the best there is to offer.

Outside of work I am passionate about my family - I have the most loving and supportive husband and two boys that are 6 and 3 years old - and living a balanced life rooted in joy, good food, and good company.
